Smooth, earthy or smokey, a scotch on the rocks is a perfect way to end a day. Sit back and enjoy the light bouncing around inside the glass as you take your first smell. Hear the ice cubes dancing around the glass before you take your first sip. Tastes like heaven,
Corn on the Cob
Corn on the cob means summer to me. Sitting in the backyard after a day of swimming in the pool, cooking burgers and hot dogs on the grill and biting in to a fresh piece of corn on the cob. The taste of the butter and salt on the kernels. The butter dripping down on your hands and your chin as you take a bit. That is what I wanted to capture when I made this photograph.
Jelly Belly Beer
When I saw this bottle of beer flavored jelly beans, I knew I wanted to approach the photograph exactly like I would create a photograph of a real bottle of beer. It had to have the same lighting and the same perspective. Cheers
Honey Crisp Apple
When I decided to photograph this apple, I wanted it to look just washed and ready to eat. You can almost feel that crisp snap of the apple as you take that bite.
The Wake of Isolation from Heavy Reel Brewing
Heavy Reel Brewing Company is a small brewery on the Jersey Shore that recently opened. It’s a husband and wife team that is working hard to make some great beer. Solid beer and solid people. I wanted to make their beer look so good you want to reach in, grab it and drink it up.
Shot on Fire
As soon as I set this image up and looked through the camera I saw that the shots in the background looked like flames as it came through the shot glass up front.
Lucky Buddha Bottle Edit
Here’s the follow up to the Lucky Buddha shot where I go through a quick way to approach this or any other composite of more than 1 image in photoshop.
Sometimes 60 Minutes is better than an hour
Dogfish Head’s 60 Minute IPA is one of my all time favorite beers. It’s a West Coast Style IPA with a great kick. Making a beverage photograph of it is as good as drinking one after the shoot.
Grandma's Pie
We’ve got a local pizzeria near us that makes an amazing Grandma’s Pie. It’s a thin crust square pie with fresh mozzarella and basil. So good.
