While just about every craft beer comes in cans now, when Oskar Blues started to do it, almost no beers were in cans. Everyone was putting it in bottles.
Drink Up
I made this photograph at a recent series of photo shoots at Pepperjack’s Grill on Staten Island. They’ve got signature drinks they make at the bar and this was one of them. It tasted as good as it looked.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
One of the earliest "American Pale Ales", the first batch was produced on November 15th, 1980. While sharing many traits with English pale ales, it's distinctly American flavored with US Cascade hops.
Tennessee Whiskey...neat
One of the big “discussion” points among whiskey drinkers is "neat or on the rocks”. I have to say I dont have a preference. I usually go by what I feel like at the moment. I wanted this photograph to be clean and graphic. Straight lines and even light. Adding ice isn’t going to give you that look. I drank the whiskey afterwards of course. It’s very rare for me to waste a good beverage of any kind. Cheers!
La Fin du Monde
It means “The End of the World”. When you drink one you won’t think it’s the end of the world. You’ll think your taste buds have just come to life.
Deschutes' Fresh Squeezed IPA
Started in 1988, Deschutes Brewery started as brew pub in Bend Oregon. Now it's the 15th largest brewery in the United States. Squeeze one.
Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA
Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, it’s the holy grail for hop lovers. It drinks more like a spirit and ages well. I’ve got a case I’ve been slowly working on since 2013 and they get better each year.
A cold pint on a hot summer day
In making this photograph, I wanted to capture the feel of a hot summer day. Maybe you just mowed the lawn or threw a ball around and now you need to cool off a little. You pour yourself an ice cold beer, find a lawn chair and enjoy the afternoon. Cheers!
End of the Day with a Bourbon
There’s no drink in the world like bourbon whiskey. Highly controlled by regulation and yet capable of displaying many different flavors and bodies.
