Imagine, it’s a cool evening at the end of a busy day. You’re sitting in front of a fire. Maybe have a light blanket over your legs. A glass of fine Irish whiskey in your hand. Could life get much better than that? I don’t think so. Cheers!
Last Wave
Really cool guys. Great location on the Jersey Shore and great beer. Check out Last Wave in Point Pleasant New Jersey. Hit the beach for the day and then hit their taproom for a great way to cool down.
Guiness Draft Stout
Is there a more iconic beer in the world than Guinness. Just say it and you know exactly what it is. A deep dark color in the glass. A rich creamy head. You know exactly how it will taste and yet you cannot wait to lift it to your lips. Cheers.
Black & Tan
Pouring a Black and Tan takes a little practice. I can’t tell you how many times it took me to get this right. So, you take that beer, put it to the side and plan to drink it after the shoot (not a bad deal if you ask me).
Scotch! Neat! Cheers!
The Glencairin is downright sexy. I wanted to highlight that aspect and really convey that. To do that, I felt that shooting in on black was they way to get that look. This photography was lit with one light, from behind, with a black gobo in between. The light actually wraps around the black gobo and lights each side.
Human Village Harlem Shake
If you’re in to beer and into music, Human Village Brewing Company in Pitman New Jersey is the place for your to check out. Most of the beers are musically inspired and named. There’s record on the walls and most every night there are local musicians playing. It’s a cool spot to spend some time.
Beach Haus Test Department New England IPA
When a beer is named Test Dept, how can you not go all mad scientist when it came time to making a photograph with it. Located right on the main drag in Belmar New Jersey, in a building that was a bakery for years. They used to make bread there, now they make liquid bread there.
Cans from Vault Brewing Company
I love how simple and graphic the labels are from Vault Brewing Company. In helps that the beer is good and if you go their brew pub in Pennsylvania their food is real good too. I wanted to build a photography that expanded that graphic to include a six pack. When I tried a couple of variations, one can across the top made it really pop for me.
Laniakea from Alementary
This beer bottle was so simple and clean, I wanted the photograph to mimic that and extend on it. The sleek black bottle begged to be a low-key photograph with only the silver lettering and graphic and the label lit enough to pop out.
